Maintenance ManualWeekly Maintenance

Weekly Maintenance

Perform weekly maintenance after every 40–60 hours of operation. Estimated time: 30–45 minutes.

Hydraulic System

TaskProcedure
Check oil sampleDraw a sample from the drain valve. Oil should be clear/translucent. Cloudy or dark oil indicates contamination or degradation.
Inspect suction strainerIf a suction strainer is present (and serviceable), remove and clean. Do not damage the mesh.
Check filter bypass indicatorsAll return, off-line, and suction filter indicators must be in the green zone.
Inspect hoses for chafingLook at areas where hoses rub against guards, frames, or other hoses.
Drain water from tankOpen the tank drain valve briefly. If water or emulsion appears, investigate the cooler for leaks.
Check pump couplingListen for irregular clicking from the coupling area.

Lubrication System

TaskProcedure
Central lubrication pumpVerify pump operates during the automatic lubrication cycle.
Grease fittingsWipe clean and inspect for damage. Replace missing or damaged fittings.
Manual lube pointsApply grease to manual lube points per the machine lubrication chart.
Slideways / guide railsWipe old grease from guide rails and reapply fresh grease.

Cooling System

TaskProcedure
Cooler / heat exchangerCheck both sides for fouling. Clean cooler fins (air-cooled) or tubes (water-cooled) if needed.
Water filter / strainerClean or replace.
Cooling tower (if shared)Check water quality (pH 6.5–8.0, no visible algae).

Mechanical System

TaskProcedure
Tie bar nut alignmentCheck alignment marks. A shifted mark indicates loose nut — re-torque to specification.
Moving platen guide shoesCheck clearance and wear. Adjust if necessary.
Ejector mechanismCycle ejector fully. Listen for binding or uneven motion.
Screw drive belt (EM series)Check belt tension and wear. Adjust if deflection exceeds 10 mm at mid-span.

Electrical System

TaskProcedure
Cabinet fan filtersRemove, wash with soapy water, dry, and reinstall.
Cabinet internal temperatureMeasure with infrared thermometer. Should be < 45°C.
Cable carrier / drag chainInspect for broken links, chafed cables.
Connector tightnessCheck main motor power connectors, servo connectors.

Take photos of the oil sight glass, filter indicators, and tie bar marks weekly. Comparing photos over time helps spot gradual changes.
